The ARC CPTT is pleased to announce that one of our Chief Investigators,  Associate Professor Megan Munsie, was awarded a prestigious international award for her service to the stem cell community in ethics, engagement, policy and community service.

The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) has just announced this year’s recipient of the ISSCR Public Service Award for 2018. The ISSCR has said “Dr. Munsie is a stem cell scientist who has made a significant contribution for many years in outreach to the public and advocacy to policy makers around issues associated with stem cell science and its translation to the clinic.”

The award will be presented to Megan in Plenary II of the ISSCR meeting on Wednesday 20 June, 16:00-18:00.

A/ Prof Megan Munsie is the Head of Education, Ethics, Law & Community Awareness Unit, Stem Cells Australia and Deputy Director at the Centre for Stem Cell Systems, The University of Melbourne. She will be involved with a number of the ARC CPTT research projects run though the University of Melbourne node.
